This is a sad piece to read. Isolation sucks, and that trans woman on the door was *way* out of line.

I don’t know if it’s something in the ice cream (I live in the coast in Bourneouth, UK), but most of the trans women I know here aren’t straight.

But sexuality shouldn’t matter anyway. It’s no-one else’s business than your own, and that of your partner(s).
