There is just so much horribleness out there that I think it's important to always say thanks, even though it should be the default.
So thank you so much for caring, and especially for taking the time to write about it.
I help to collate and share data to support the Trans Day of Remembrance, so I can see exactly where all the hate can lead. You honestly don't want to see the stuff I do so just trust me when I say that transphobia has consequences and they can be truly horrific.
[Only this morning I've heard of a young trans person who has taken their own life here in the UK, and yet another murder of a trans person in Ceará, Brazil.]
On one level I understand enough about how the brain works to get how the nastiness can all too easily happen, but, on another, I just don't get why so many people are so awful to each other.
Just what's so wrong with us all just being nice to each other…?
…or even just consciously not horrible?
